Marian Markelo is a scholar at ROCMondriaan den Haag, and a renowned Winti Priestess. She is the initiator of the Kabra Mask project, which brokered an unpredented partnership with the Amsterdam Museum for shared custodianship of a 3D printed Yoruba mask - derived from the Africa Museum collection - that has been used in numerous ceremonies and appeared on television during the Kati Koti (breaking of chains / abolition of slavery) memorial on July 1st, 2013 in the Oosterpark in Amsterdam.
