A native of Samoa, Yuki Kihara is an interdisciplinary artist based between Samoa and New Zealand. Often referencing Pacific history, her work is often centered around performance and explores the varying relationships and intersections between gender, race, sexuality, culture and politics. Her works can be found in international collections, among others, including Te Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand; Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
